About

Why Rhyzome exists

Rhyzome does not begin with a desire to add yet another application to the stack. It begins with a frustration about the operational problems coming from the way how business systems have been built in the past. There must be a better way.

Paragraph 1 of 5

If setup properly, modern business systems are a great tool to run the business. But in which organization is this actually case? Who has enough resources and find enough experts, to take on this challenging task? And what happens, if the company's reality is changing, due to a new business model a merger or acquistion?

About

Mycel

Mycel is what is powering Rhyzome. It is the declarative modeling language used to define the business logic. It is the key in decoupling the business logic from the platform and enabling the simple flexibility, that makes Rhyzome unique.

Paragraph 1 of 6

Mycel is a programming language, or to be precise a modeling language, that was designed with the goal to handle all possible business logic. A key feature is, that it is declarative, meaning that it only describes the expected outcome, and not how this outcome is achieved. Rhyzome is an interpreter for this language and handles the actual execution.
